Sizing Tips

Use these tips as a general guide when finding your measurements:

1. Chest/Bust: With your arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest, across shoulder blades and under arms.

2. Waist: To measure your natural waistline, wrap the tape so it intersects your navel. Keep tape flat, but comfortably loose.

3. Hips: Stand with your heels together and measure the fullest part of your hips, keeping the measuring tape level and parallel to the floor, front, and back.

4. Inseam: Stand up straight, and start tape measure high in your crotch. Straighten the tape down the inside of your leg to the top of your shoe/foot.

Kinds of Baseball / Softball Jerseys include the following:
Polyester
Polyester is a synthetic, plastic-based fabric commonly used in shirts and athletic wear.
Polyester jerseys are lightweight and breathable, but can irritate some skin types.
They are very tough and durable, making them ideal for rough games.
Cotton
Cotton jerseys are the most comfortable, but also the least durable.
They absorb sweat very well but do not dry up quickly, so they tend to get heavy and wet when the player has perspired heavily.
Most manufacturers use ringspun cotton, which is softer and slightly tougher.
Polycotton
Polycotton jerseys are made of blended cotton and polyester threads.
They combine the comfort of cotton and the durability of polyester.
They are used for most official and professional uniforms.
Comfort: Choose a baseball jersey that feels light and comfortable. Look for lightweight fabrics that allow maximum movement without being too brittle. Make sure the fabric is soft and smooth, and will not irritate your skin.

Fit: Choose a baseball jersey that fits properly over your body. Avoid button-up jerseys if you tend to move a lot, because the buttons can come off or get undone especially with rough contact. The best jerseys are a little loose and cling slightly to your body.

Kinds of Baseball Pants include the following:
Polyester
Polyester pants are very durable and are usually preferred for adult games, because they can withstand rough contact.
They usually lack ventilation, so they may not be very comfortable especially during hot days.
Polycotton pants use a blend of cotton and polyester fibers, which provides both comfort and durability.
Polycotton is one of the most popular materials for baseball pants, and most pants worn in official games are made of this material.
Choosing Baseball Pants (Buying Tips)
Comfort: Choose baseball pants that feels light and comfortable on your legs and lower body. Make sure that enough air can circulate through the fabric to keep it breathable and prevent your legs from sweating excessively. The pants should be padded, but not too heavily as this adds unnecessary bulk.

Fit: Choose baseball pants that fit properly around your legs. Traditionally they are a little snug, but many players prefer a looser, more comfortable fit. if you are playing in a tournament, check with the coordinators if there are rules on the proper fit of the pants. Avoid very loose pants, because the added material creates drag and slows you down.
Kinds of Softball Pants include the following:
Traditional softball pants
Traditional softballs pants are the standard softball pants.
They are made of durable polyester.
Their inseams come down to the calves.
They have reinforced crotches and double knees for maximum protection.
They have elastic bottoms for custom fitting around the ankles.
Relaxed fit softball pants
Relaxed fit softball pants are looser in the thigh and seat areas compared to traditional leg-hugging softball pants.
They are made of durable and stain-resistant polyester.
They have elastic bottoms for custom fitting around the ankles.
Open bottom softball pants
Open bottom softball pants are made of durable polyester.
They have non-elastic bottoms that hang loosely around the calves.
They have reinforced crotches and double knees for maximum protection.
Fit: For flexibility of movement especially when running, choose a snug fitting pair of softball pants.

Long inseams: If you stand six feet tall or over, choose softball pants with inseams of around 32 inches. This length allows your pants to come down to your ankles and not to your calves unlike regular-sized pants.

Closures: Choose softball pants secured around the waist by a combination of zippers and snaps to keep them up better. Also, look for a pair with belt loops, so you can tighten your pants with a belt.
